About Tappeto rugs

Tappeto = rug (Italian)

Tappeto rugs was opened in April 2007 with the aim of providing Sheffield and the surrounding areas with the first contemporary wool rug shop featuring original designs and more unusual and individual pieces than those currently offered by large chain stores and carpet shops.

The staff at Tappeto have a wealth of knowledge about the source, construction, design, suitability and durability of each rug they stock. Pieces have been carefully chosen to ensure that they are from only the most reputable suppliers, of very high quality and from ethical sources.

This does not mean they are expensive. We stock rugs from as little as £25! Tappeto aims to be competitive with online rug shops.

Opening Hours

Mon – Friday 10am – 4-30pm
Saturday 10am – 5.00pm

Other times are available for private appointments by prior arrangement, simply call the shop.

Personal Service

Vonny Watts, the owner is happy to come to your home and bring sample rugs, advise on matching your interior scheme, or help to design a bespoke rug specifically to your requirements

Customers are able to try before they buy upon leaving a 50% deposit which is of course refunded if the rug is not suitable.

Special Sizes

Many customers find that a large or unusually shaped rug is virtually impossible to find. We stock large area rugs, unusual sizes and most rugs can be custom made to a customer’s exact specifications.

Price Match

If you can find exactly the same rug from the internet or another supplier Tappeto will match their price or often be able to offer you a lower price with the added bonus that you have a personal service and direct contact should anything not be to your satisfaction.

Delivery

Rugs are delivered free of charge within the South Yorkshire area and a small charge of £5.00 applies to national delivery.
